I've crafted The Bloodied Soul Creative with indie authors and small businesses in mind. I am passionate about the journey for indie authors as well as the start up time and effort for small businesses. I admire the courage it takes to self publish and to get your feet off the ground, because that is what I am doing too! Everything I do is within my mission to continue to support and work alongside these amazing individuals. Most of my hours are flexible! On my days off, I may be here for discussion, but those days are the days that I spend time with my own family and take time to catch up on reading or personal projects!Sunday is my weekly prep day. I try to prep content for the week for myself, as well as my clients on Sunday, so we can tackle the week with a plan in mind!

While these are my stated hours, as a human with chronic illness, and a mama to a special needs child there may be days when I'm out of office unexpectedly. These days will always be communicated to the best of my ability, but I will still always try to be there for my clients should I be needed.

I enjoy creating book covers based on random thoughts I have! I currently use a mixture of platforms for creation, though I am heavily focused on using Adobe Photoshop at this time. I do not support AI, and will never knowingly, or willingly use AI in my work of any sort. All premade covers are based on what 5x8 sizing with roughly 350 pages. Resizing is available. All Premade covers are $100 unless noted differently.All premade covers include:

Policies, Terms and Conditions

DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS

A 50% deposit of the final project cost is required upon scheduling for projects with a total higher than $50, unless an alternative arrangement has been made between The BSC and the Client. This deposit is
nonrefundable, unless The BSC fails to complete a project by deadline. Remaining balances must be paid in full prior to file delivery. If the Client chooses not to use the final files, full remaining payment is still required. Failure to pay your deposit means your booking is not complete, and the time and dates may be given to another client. The Client acknowledges and agrees to these terms upon paying the deposit.The remaining balance owed by The Client must be paid in full prior to final file delivery. If the owed balance is not paid to The BSC, final files, mockups, graphics, and print-ready files will not be delivered to The Client, and will remain property of The BSC.

CANCELLATIONS

The Client may cancel the project at any time, though the deposit remains nonrefundable. If the project was paid in full at the time of scheduling, the deposit will be deducted from refunded amount to the client. Upon cacellation, The BSC retains all created materials and work.

REVISIONS & REWORKS

The BSC will provide three (3) standard revisions per project. After the third revision, additional revisions will incur a a fee equivalent to 20% of the project’s total cost each. These revision fees will be added to the final project cost, and must be paid in full prior to final file delivery. Revisions have a 72-hour turnaround time and include minor changes to color, font, small additions, placement, and wording. Major changes or redesigns are considered complete rework and will incur a fee equivalent to 50% of the project’s total cost. If a complete rework is required, the client acknowledges the additional time and fees that may apply to the project.

FUTURE ALTERATIONS

The BSC is not responsible for storing project files for future alterations unless the Client requests it during the time of creation. If not requested, future alteration requests will be declined. Stored project files can be altered for up to three (3) months. After this period, the Client must request an extension. The BSC will not store files longer than six (6) months, and any requests beyond this period may be denied. The Client acknowledges that additional fees may be incurred to alter original project files.

ATTRIBUTION

The BSC requires cover design credit to appear the following space for print books:
- On the right copyright page
For donated projects, The BSC requires cover design credit to appear in the following space for print books:
-On the back of the book cover
- On the Copyright page
And the following space for e-books:
-Copyright page
Attribution should appear as:
“Cover Design by The Bloodied Soul Creative”
Additionally, The BSC requests to be tagged/mentioned in all social media posts with a main focus being the cover.

ATTRIBUTION EXCEPTION

The BSC retains the right to request not to be attributed to any and all final projects. The request will be made formally by email.

COPYRIGHT & OWNERSHIP

Except the retained rights in the “BOOK COVER OWNERSHIP” section, all services and materials The BSC produces on your half will become your property upon full payment of your invoices.

BOOK COVER OWNERSHIP

The Client is granted exclusive license to the final book cover design such as PDF, JPEG, or other publishing-ready formats for their print book and/or e-book cover and associated promotional materials.The Client understands that they may not alter the final cover design in any way. If the Client desires any alterations, they will consult The BSC. If The BSC does not approve the changes the Client has made to the original book cover, The Client acknowledges The BSC maintains all creative rights to the original design. All original designs including concept, layout, image placement, and fonts are not to be recreated by
another person. The client may request an exception to this policy in the even of extenuating circumstances. The BSC retains the right to decline this request. The BSC maintains design integrity at all times.

GRAPHIC TEASER & DIGITAL DESIGN OWNERSHIP

The Client understands that they may not alter the final graphic/digital design in any way outside of size changes without consulting The BSC for approval. The BSC maintains design integrity at all times.

THE BSC RETAINS THE RIGHT TO:

Use work produced for the Client as part of it’s portfolio materials in both it’s offline and online portfolios; add
your firm to our client list; and use your completed project in design competitions, publications, exhibitions, or other promotional purposes.
Any material or ideas prepared or submitted to you that you choose not to produce or for which you have not paid our invoices, within 30 days of submission to you, will remain The BSC property (regardless of whether the physical embodiement of creative work is in your posession in the form of copy, art work, plates, recordings, films, tapes, etc) and may be submitted to other clients for their use, provided such submission or use does not involve the release of any confidential information regarding your business or methods of operation.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

The Client is fully responsible for proofing the any printed designs created by The BSC. The BSC highly suggests requesting a printed proof (author proof book for cover dresign) from the printer/publisher of choice before official publication or ordering bulk print copies. The BSC will not be responsible for financial or legal issues such as cost, fees, or expenses incurred by the client as a result of using the book cover design.If the Client provides materials subject to intellectual property rights by a third-party, the Client will secure the appropriate rights to use the materials before directing The BSC to incorporate them into their project. The BSC retains the right to request a copy of the secured right. Should any intellectual property dispute arise involving materials the Client provides, the Client assumes full legal and financial responsibility. The BSC is not responsible for contacting the client prior to the scheduled appointment time. Once the appointment date has been discussed with the Client and confirmed by The BSC, the Client is responsible for maintaining the appointment. The Client acknowledges The BSC is not responsible for missed deadlines or appointments and rescheduling is subject to time availability.

PREMADE COVERS

All pre-made book cover sales are final. There will be no refunds once the invoice is paid. Once the invoice is sent, you will have twenty-four hours to pay your invoice. If your invoice is not paid, the pre-made cover will be placed available again.Premade cover designs are sold one time, to one person. Most premade covers may be available for series continuation.
There is so specific time frame for customizing your pre-made cover, The BSC will retain your pre-made cover design until you are ready to customize. Pre-made covers may not be sold, traded, or gifted to another party by The Client without written and expressed permission by The BSC.

AI USAGE

The BSC does not use AI imagery. The Client understands that mistakes may happen, and if it is found that an element within the design created by The BSC is AI, The Client will consult The BSC immediately, and The BSC will remedy the situation as The Client and The BSC see fit.

SERVICES & PRICING

The BSC retains the right to change their pricing for any services offered at any time. The only way to guarantee a price for the desired service is by booking the service and paying your deposit.

CONFIDENTIALITY

All client and designer’s personal information is considered confidential.

DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER

By making any payment for a package or service from The BSC, The Client agrees not to post any slanderous or harmful comments on social media or third-party platforms that could negatively impact The BSC's business. Any concerns should be addressed directly with The Bloodied Soul Creative to be resolved. Under The Defamation Act of 2013, posts on social media or third-party platforms may be subject to legal action and potential fines.

ACCEPTION OF POLICIES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The BSC and The Client will acknowledge acceptance of these terms upon any payment made to The BSC. By acknowledging these policies, terms and conditions, the Client agrees to hold The BSC entirely free from any liability, including financial.

The Bloodied Soul Creative retains the right to make amendments
to these policies, terms and conditions as necessary.
